We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Shlomo Franklin’s music video for his song “Waltz For You” (watch it below). The track is taken from his forthcoming Don’t Love Anybody EP, which is scheduled to be released on May 18, 2018.
Shlomo Franklin commented on the song:
‘Waltz For You’ is a song about deep devotion; the sort of love and dedication that comes only with a certain amount of sacrifice. It’s about learning how to give yourself over completely to someone or something while still holding on to who you are without that someone or something. It’s a pretty funny song but the humor is overshadowed by the joy and dive bar waltz sentimentality.
Franklin commented on the video:
The music video stars my dog, Daisy. She was just a three-month-old pup at the time and was super excited to go running in the fields, hike down to the swamps with me and my band, and watch me lip sync the song a thousand times in my log cabin. I wanted to give the listener a piece of what I grew up with, my farm represents the sort of joy and comfort that I hope is laced into the song’s binding.
Shlomo Franklin will hold his EP release show on May 16, 2018 at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2 in New York, NY.
