I’m sure we all had that one band we found out about during the lockdown and couldn’t wait for the day for them to play a live show. Well, that was Mannequin Pussy for me. They were legit one of those bands that were in my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist, and I was like who?!, but I am so glad I hit play on that song. Also, how can I not resist checking out a band with that name.

Fast forward to 2021, shortly after an incredible first tour back with Japanese Breakfast, Mannequin Pussy announced their own headlining tour and I couldn’t be more stoked to see a couple of Los Angeles dates in that list.

I ended up going to the Teragram show because I haven’t been to that venue since the last day of the last tour I did. This show was the first night of me having an injured shoulder, so you know that was such a fun shoot. But yah know, some one has to snap that good good.

I could easily say the theme of the show was pure energy. Starting the night were Baltimore’s very own, Pinkshift. This band had just so much energy to throw to crowd that they got the night rolling from the get go. Being a little older and not acquainted with newer pop punk, this band definitely reminds me of the band VersaEmerge. That band absolutely slapped.

After missing a good chunk of the tour, Angel Du$t took on the stage for the first time on this tour and absolutely melted faces. AD is one of those bands that you can play for easy listening but also rock the fuck on forever. The set was a good mix of songs both old and new. And even without the full line-up, (since Turnstile is also on tour) the band sounded A++.

Right as AngelDu$t got off the stage, the crowd pushed forward and you definitely notice the sold out Teragram Ballroom, the place was packed even for a late show on a Thursday night. Mannequin Pussy hit us an hour filled with sing alongs, jumping, dancing, and good ol’ rock ‘n’ rollin’. I legit think there was not one person in that room not moving.

Really, though, If you haven’t listened to Mannequin Pussy, I suggest you press play on whatever streaming service you have, FOR YOUR HEALTH.
