We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of The Band Ice Cream’s new song “Get Rich” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album Classically Trained, which is scheduled to be released on March 10th through Urban Scandal Records. You can purchase the album here.

The Band Ice Cream vocalist/guitarist Kevin Fielding comments on the song:

“‘Get Rich’ was originally a poem I wrote called artist complex. It just sometimes sucks how if you’re trying to, or do, see yourself as a so called artist you feel some kind of pressure to take the ingredients of your life, sometimes really fucked up shit, and try to make a fucking pie out of it through song or paint or whatever the outlet may be. It’s just a song pointing out that pressure and how people who think of themselves in this light almost start to welcome misery as ammo for their own fucked up gun.”

About the band:

The Band Ice Cream is an indie rock outfit of the highest form. They have scuzzy guitars, power pop hooks and a youthful tongue-in-cheek attitude that is spit out over the course of their debut release. Classically Trained explores the sound of a blossoming garage band’s journey from sweaty house parties and drunken clubs to a professional recording studio and larger stages.
