Ripping through the stratosphere with a new single is Dead Bars. “Freaks” crash lands after out muscling atmospheric pressure with a snapping snare, slithery guitars, and soaring melodies. Helmed around the concept of finding a place to belong, “Freaks” gives listeners an anthem to rally behind. The song is being premiered exclusively below, take a listen and be prepared for Regulars, the newest album, out on May 3rd, 2019.
The band said about the song, “most successful bands, labels, managers, and booking agents don’t like or understand Dead Bars. That’s OK, we don’t make music for them. We make music for people who don’t fit in, and together we are building something beautiful. Dead Bars have the best fans in the world; all of them are freaks. Dead Bars freaks are inclusive, and anyone who wants to have fun is welcome. Dead Bars is here for you.”
Seattle punk lifers Dead Bars are back – and they want you to join them at the bar with sophomore album ‘Regulars’ (out May 3rd on A-F Records). The band called on one of the Seattle’s icons to helm ‘Regulars’, hitting up the legendary Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden) to oversee production duties. When Dead Bars first sent some songs over, Endino replied that “[They have] a good pop hook with a bunch of bashing and screaming over it; what’s not to like?” We couldn’t agree more! Endino kept the dirt and grit of the band intact, while dialing up the anthemic choruses and big guitars.
