We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Drude’s self-titled track (listen below) from the upcoming self titled EP, which is scheduled to be released on February 10, 2017.
Drude, formerly known as Burn The Army, have created a huge local buzz for themselves and were recently named by Invisible Oranges as one of the “Nine Bands You Need to Know From Indiana.”
Drude exist in a musical environment where attention spans are a mere formality, where time is bent to your individual will.
Drude is a slow-burn. The band play their own style of sludgy metal, that builds and destroys and then rebuilds 7 minutes at a time. The band, which consists of Jordan Smith (guitar), Corey Clark (bass) and Dyllen Nance (drums) have been a staple of the Indy metal for the better part of a decade.
The band’s sound is a dense and measured hybrid of doom, hesher and prog that sedates and bludgeons with equal abandon. In a musical environment where attention spans are null, they make music that commands attention.
