We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Exalt’s new song “Worship” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album The Shape You Took Before the Ache, which is officially being released on September 9th through Good Fight Music (US) and New Damage Records (worldwide).
Exalt frontman Tyler Brand comments on the song:
“‘Worship’ was a new venture for us as a band. It was a song less focused on being heavy, being aggressive, but more so it was a song focused on being a song, in a classic structural sense. We tried to utilize what we had as a band to do something a bit uncomfortable and different for us.”

Exalt is one of the leaders of the new wave of metallic hardcore, in line with bands like Code Orange, Harm’s Way, and Old Wounds. The Shape You Took Before the Ache shows the band veering into a dark, ominous, crushing style, showing traces of Godflesh, Deftones, and Fear Factory.
