Sheffield pop-punkers, Fierce Morgan have announced they will be releasing a 4-track EP titled Misanthropy on March 18th and we’re excited to be premiering their new track “Sweat And Tears” (listen below), ahead of the official release.
“Sweat And Tears,” which is the first track to be revealed from the EP, lyrically deals with the subject of trying to remain positive while friends and peers achieve “success,” and the struggle of trying to establish yourself in the creative industries rather than submitting to the daily grind.
“‘Sweat And Tears’ is about trying to achieve something by doing what you love but ending up paying the price for it. You watch people around you achieving something and start to feel like you’ll never get there. I constantly hear the ‘chase your dream’ rhetoric but it seems the world pushes you to get an ordinary 9-5 and work your life away,” comments vocalist / guitarist Owen Cousins.
Hijacking the breakneck pace of skate punk bands like NOFX and The Flatliners and coupling it with the melody of pop-punk heavyweights like The Story So Far and Handguns, Misanthropy singles out Fierce Morgan as a band confident in their own style and ready to take on the very best.
Misanthropy will be available March 18th via the band’s Bandcamp page.
