New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth this exclusive premiere of “Quadrivium” by Gematria. The song is off of their upcoming self-titled EP. Take a listen below!

“This was the 2nd song that Steve and I collaborated on for this project. We titled it “Quadrivium”, which is the study of four arts developed in medieval times (arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy). These subjects have always been intertwined creatively for us and played a big part in the writing of this record.

This track features a spiraling, chromatic melody that is contrasted by some brighter sounding solo sections. Steve plays some great bass parts on this song!” – Ray

“I composed the melody of this song after meditating on the Sefer Yetzirah symbol. The symbol is an equilateral triangle surrounded by a seven-pointed star that is surrounded by a twelve-pointed star. Coincidentally, the symbol in sacred geometry applied to music is chromatic.” – Steve

Nefarious Industries will release Gematria on all digital platforms and limited CD on October 19th; find pre-orders at the label webshop HERE and Bandcamp HERE.

Nefarious Industries welcomes eclectic new outfit Gematria to the label’s ever-morphing roster for the October release of their recently completed self-titled debut EP.

Delivering a hypnotically riveting, intricately crafted, wholly singular progressive sound, Gematria is a collaboration between Ray Suhy (Six Feet Under, Cannabis Corpse, ex-East Of The Wall) and Steve Honoshowsky (Daughter Vision, Billy Martin’s Fang Percussion, No Use For Humans). The two had talked of collaborating for years and finally began working on music together in 2017. Honoshowsky had a plethora of material under construction when he approached Suhy to help complete the recording processes.
