New Noise Magazine is pleased to be bringing forth the exclusive premiere of “Which Side Are You On?” by Matt Taelor. This tune features rambunctious, lively melodies dancing on a jumping beat. Take a listen to the infectious single below!
“‘Which Side Are You on?’ is a song that I was very fortunate to get to record with Grammy-nominated producer/extraordinary human Joel Hamilton. It is a song about not knowing if you can really trust someone that you really care deeply about. Are they good or bad? Are they in it for the right reasons or just wanting something from you? Sonically, I want the song to take listeners for a ride and make them feel as though they are on the move. I am really proud of this song and am really looking forward to playing it live for the very first time at Pianos on Saturday.” – Matt Taelor
Matt Taelor tells a tale of uncertainty and curiosity in his new single “Which Side Are You On?” The Stamford Connecticut-based pop-rock artist specializes in catchy hooks and captivating chord progressions, and “Which Side Are You On?” is no exception.
The song opens with Taelor pleading, “Tell me the truth, look in my eyes.” The track is Taelor’s story of a dubious relationship, in which he is unsure of what his significant other’s intentions are. In the chorus, Taelor’s voice is thick with passion and emotion as he proceeds to ask, “Are you evil? Are you here to break my heart?”
Taelor’s love for music began when he was only 3 years old. He took the stage for the first time when he was only 4 years old, fearlessly performing for an audience of over 1000 at a corporate rodeo. He began writing music in his teens and he has been writing and singing since. His passion has been unwavering through the years, and his pursuit of music has never faltered.
He would describe his sound as a blend of singer/songwriter, pop, and alternative rock. He continues to perform in both the NYC and Miami areas. In addition to “Which Side Are You On?”, Matt has released several other singles, as well as his debut EP After Midnight.
