Spirit have released a new music video for their song “Porcelain Lake” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming Eternal Love EP, which is scheduled for release on October 8th.
The band comments on “Porcelain Lake”:
“This is the peak of the emotional roller coaster that is this story. Cove asks Senna to meet him where they first met. Senna was supposed to come over and didn’t show. Cove heads to where they first met, but is driving recklessly. He ends up crashing at the overpass of where they first met and ends up in the lake below.”

Here is a journal entry from Cove that gives the song more context:
Dear Cove,
I’ve been falling apart at the seams. Love has always seemed like a foreign concept. A lie. We are first shown love when we look into our parents eyes. I could not see love in the eyes of an absent father. You are the blessing and the curse. Showing love to me that i’ve never known before. You’ve tried to teach me the tongue to this foreign language. I’ve proven inadequate to change. Wishing things were different doesn’t change the present reality. It’s time to let you sink in. I can’t stand hearing that familiar voice with tears in your eyes. I will meet you where we first met.
Love,
Senna
