We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Stories Untold’s new live video for their song “Fleur De Lis” (watch below). The track is taken from the band’s debut album Can’t Go Home, which was released through Razor & Tie in March 2016. You can purchase the album here.
Stories Untold vocalist/guitarist Tim Williams commented on the song:
“Not to sound TOO pop punk, but ‘Fleur De Lis’ is about friendships. That’s why we made sure this video was done entirely in-house. It’s recorded by us and our manager; edited by us and our manager; featuring us, our manager, and two of our close friends. This video is extra-special because it documents our first time meeting our new label, our first time playing in Chicago, and a bunch of other firsts. A lot of our full-production music videos have a central theme that is serious; dark, even. ‘Fleur De Lis’ deserved something lighter and happier. So that’s what we did.”
Channeling a mixture of alt-rock and post-hardcore Stories Untold unleash infectious hooks raging with conviction and heart with the release of their debut full length album Can’t Go Home. The album combines the raspy, eerie vocals from Jake Clark (bass/vocals) and booming vocals from Kevin Quednau (rhythm guitar, vocals) creating a sound that’s entirely its own. Recorded in just two weeks, the album was produced in part by Michael Martenson and then Mick Maslowski.
The band has already received praise from outlets like Huffington Post, Alternative Press, and idobi. They’ve had the opportunity to open for letlive., and have brought their intense live shows to festivals like Susiepalooza, Bled Fest, and Common Ground Fest. Adding to the young band’s already impressive career, they’ve had the opportunity to perform headline shows to a near sold out crowd at The Crofoot.
The St. Clair, Michigan band formed back in 2013 when Clark needed music for a post-apocalyptic movie for a college project. The four-piece now consists of Clark, Quednau, Tim Williams (lead guitar/vocals), and Brennen Moloney (drums).
