We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of The Co Founder’s new song “Quarter Mile” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming sophomore LP Gymnasium, which is scheduled to be released on August 2, 2018 through Slang Church.
Along with the track, Slang Church has announced pre-sale information for the first pressing of Gymnasium – limited to 200 copies, first pressings will be available in a random swirl variant, with orders will shipping in October 2018. Pre-orders are available here, and will include a free download of all three singles (“Quarter Mile,” “Already Know,” and “Full Stop”).
The band commented on the song:
Lyrically, ‘Quarter Mile’ centers around my struggles with depression/suicidal ideation. Mental health has been an ongoing battle for me since I was 15-16, and the song is meant to speak to that back and forth – feeling okay one day, and stuck in a hole on the next.
“Quarter Mile” features Marina Price (Manatee Commune, Bastard Jazz,…) on guest vocals, representing the first peak at the star studded cast behind Gymnasium.
