We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Elias Black’s new song “Fire” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Reclamation, which is scheduled to be released on July 12, 2018.

‘Fire’ kicks off ‘Reclamation,’ the new record from Elias Black. It was the first song that was written for the new record, the first song that was recorded when we hit the studio, and ended up being the sledgehammer that we wanted to put at the start of the record. Lyrically, the song is about being away from the people you love week after week for months on end, what it does to you, how you deal with it, the relationships that light us up along the way…and the impermanence of it all.

About the band:

Alt-rocker Elias Black’s darkly cathartic album, Reclamation, is a f#ck you to loss, and professional and personal upheaval. It’s a vulnerable and vicious masterwork made in the face of great adversity. Welcome to a black celebration.

“The title is about taking your life back from all the toxicity that manages to creep in. More so, it’s about ‘reclaiming’ my love and passion for the process of actually making a record,” says the Phoenix, Arizona-based artist.

Elias Black brings to the live band medium the ominous emotionality, twisted textures, and dissonance of industrial music. His songwriting is characterized by barbed hooks and organic musical interplay. The Elias Black aesthetic is steeped in ’80s dark wave, punk rock, and alternative rock.
