We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of The Ex-Optimists’ new song “The Joe Jackson Self-Destruct” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Drowned In Moonlight, which is scheduled to be released on September 28, 2018 through Shifting Sound. You can pre-order the album here.

The Ex-Optimists vocalist/guitarist Kelly Minnis commented on the song:

We came up with this riff that reminded us of something from the Look Sharp/I’m The Man era Joe Jackson records so we decided to follow that direction to its ridiculous conclusion, and of course, pay patronage to the lineage with the song’s title.
