We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of HiGH’s new song “Evil Gene” (listen below). The song is the title track from the band’s forthcoming album, which is scheduled to be released through Wiretap Records on November 17th. You can pre-order the album here.

The band commented:

“If you wake up feeling like a terrible bastard write a song before you start cheering yourself up with coffee, beer, or whatever and you wind up with a full length album. Our new album is called “Evil Gene” and its ten songs in thirty minutes. James Whitten recorded us at his new Hightower Recording Studio that finally moved from a dumpy motel room to a big penthouse suit overlooking New Orleans. We started talking with Rob from Wiretap last year and we knew we wanted to put together a release for vinyl and his label seemed like a great fit.”

Evil Gene was produced/engineered by James Whitten (PEARS, Thou, Donovan Wolfington, I’m Fine, Streetlight Manifesto) at Hightower Recordings in New Orleans.

HiGH is scheduled to hit the road later this month on its way to Florida to play FEST 16, where they’ll play Friday October 27th at Mother’s Pub at 4pm. See tour dates below.

October 21 – New Orleans, LA at Saturn Bar
