We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of High Pony’s new song “Silly Ball” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Nothing Here Is Mine, which is available for purchase through iTunes.
High Pony guitarist/singer Seth Goldman commented on the song:
‘Silly Ball’ is one of our oldest songs. It goes back over 3 years already. At the time, I had just gotten sober and this band absolutely saved me while I was beginning to feel again, for the first time in who knows how long. We didn’t even have a name when we wrote this tune. It was just 5 friends having a blast, and even though we have a different line up now, we all still grin from ear to ear when we play it. The song is us basking in life’s heaviness with a gritty, inexorable sweetness. It is all about acceptance of loneliness, absurdity, and harmony. These three old friends bounce around together as a beautiful silly ball in a burning city, leaving you with the wild feeling that anything can happen if you just show up.”
High Pony’s album Nothing Here Is Mine is scheduled to be released on Friday, June 8th. The release show will be held at King Killer Studios (69 2nd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215) on June 8th with Bueno and Genre Mono – $10 & free beer all night.
You can also pick up the band’s previous release, Seen a change, through Bandcamp.
