We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Lavender Flu’s new song “Follow The Flowers” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Mow The Glass, which is scheduled to be released through In The Red Records. You can pre-order the album here.
Lavender Flu’s Chris Gunn commented on the song:
‘Follow the Flowers’ is a song about secret garments and secret voices. Its about people playing make believe while our world falls apart. Its about the elitist scumbag who imagines shoving the NWW LIST through the wall at your band practice, yelling at you to do your homework. Its about the bard of Midheaven and One’s Shakespearean quill. Its a song about the Endless Return. Its about losing something but you don’t remember that you lost it. It has to do with the Bobby problem. Its about houses built on horror and secret lives. Its the knowledge that your cities will fade. Its about ears filled with shit. Its a song that wrote itself. Its about the desperate attempt to recreate fake memories. Its asking for your powers to Return. Its a message to those that need you to play music faster, less rock, quieter, samer, more like your old self, more punk, more rock, more like them, anything but what you ARE. Its about life that hides. Its about enemies everywhere. Its about people that use music for the wrong reasons. Its about making your own LIST. Its about listening for yourself.
