We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Moonraker’s new song “Ram The Blade Ship” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Lanterns, which is scheduled to be released on September 14, 2018 through Tiny Dragon Music. You can pre-order the album here.

Moonraker drummer/vocalist David Green commented on the song:

‘Ram the Blade Ship’ is the last sentence of the last book in the Animorphs series. It’s probably one of the lamest things about me, but I think about it seriously ALL the time. SPOILER ALERT: they kinda kill themselves taking out the people they’re fighting and it ends on a vague cliff hanger. I’ve always thought of that phrase as a metaphor for going down fighting and making every decision count. Man, this sounds so lame in retrospect. Anyway, this song is about an old coworker of mine who got hit by a car and it’s one of my favorite songs on the album. RIP Mariano.

About the band:

It’s just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a race car. Is any of this getting through to you? Moonraker is a punk band from southern California.
