We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Petal Head’s new song “Darkworld” (listen below). The band commented on the track:
Musically, the song was one of the first songs we ever recorded in 2014. It was initially supposed to appear on our first demo but at the time just didn’t feel right. Some years later now, we were looking back on past material and this song immediately popped out at us. Soon we were rerecording tracks and adding vocals. Everything came together very naturally. We are happy to be releasing new music and are excited to show the world.

About the band:
Petal Head is a Long Island based alt rock band with heavy use of shoegaze and stoner metal elements. The trio was formed in 2014 when guitarist and singer Michael Guidice started jamming on songs with drummer Brendan Cox. Shortly after bassist Andy Laurino was added to the mix to finally complete the sonic mess that is Petal Head. The band strips every dynamic and traditional sense out of conventional alt rock and build it up in their own loud and abrasive, yet both parts dreamy and droning, sound.
Petal Head has recorded a new album, with hopes of releasing it sometime in 2019.
