We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Pinebreaker’s new song “Gravel Jaw” (listen below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming debut EP Coma Wolf, which is scheduled to be released through Arborist Records on September 15th.
Pinebreaker vocalist Saige Becker commented on the song: “‘Gravel Jaw,’ lyrically, is inspired by the dreams that I have of childhood places that were important to me, like my family’s cabin. And trying to grow up and have new experiences while that nostalgia tries to hold me back.”
Hailing from Idaho Falls, Pinebreaker is a post-hardcore band founded on deep relationships and artistic passion. Between ambient melodies and explosive gut punches, the group creates a driving, focused brand of music with layers of atmosphere and intensity. While lead singer Saige Becker and guitarist Gary Becker are married, Pinebreaker are not to be put in the traditional “singer-songwriter couple” troupe. The two dynamically work with each other to create their hard-hitting sound, with Saige’s emotional vocal work and Gary’s hefty, melodic tone coming together harmoniously over Cole Wither’s blasting drums.
