We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Waterfall Wash’s new song “Chris” (listen below). The track was recorded in Nashville at Awake Studios with producer Nick Bullock, and mixed by Mark Bullock in East Nashville. The song was mastered by Alan Douches (Japandroids, Saves The Day, Beach Slang) at West West Side Music in New York City.

Waterfall Wash talk about the story behind the song:

Chris and I have both lived in Nashville for several years. We moved here for music (big surprise) from the small town of Dayton, Tennessee.

I was without a car for several months back in 2013-14, and I really wanted to go home for the holiday. So I hit up Chris, who happened to be heading back on Christmas Eve, and I hitched a ride.

We almost never make it to each other’s shows, but for something as meaningful as going home to see family, he was there for me. I later wrote this song that documents our journey as friends, often at a distance, but strangely close considering we come from the same place.
