We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Weird Radicals’ new single “Medea” (listen below), which features Cris Kirkwood of Meat Puppets. Andrew Cameron Cline of Weird radicals commented on working with Kirkwood:
Cris Kirkwood from the Meat Puppets heard our music through some mutual friends, I guess it stoked him out because he managed to contact us, which can be tough since I don’t have a phone. He asked if we wanted to come do a song with him and Jeremy Parker here in Phoenix… No-brainer! By the time we were finished with the tune, Cris ended up playing bass on it! Hanging with them was an honor and a joy.
About the band:
Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, Weird Radicals are a post-modern rock group led by singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Andrew Cameron Cline and lead guitarist Nick Florence. Brought together by coincidence in early 2016, the band began as an exploratory recording project between Cline and Florence.
In 2017, Weird Radicals released Flight of Fancy, an EP that gained the attention of legendary rock DJ and tastemaker Rodney Bingenheimer, and later, Sean Bohrman & Lee Rickard of Burger Records. Weird Radicals’ first Burger release, produced by Tim O’Sullivan and titled Bangers Ball, will be released on September 21, 2018 on cassette and streaming platforms.
