Holding onto past experiences and their associated triumphs and tribulations has benefits. In the case of Camille Dalby, these experiences and the baggage of feelings provided her an outlet with the doom-laden post-punk project, Suif. Upon a slew of single releases since forming during the pandemic era, this Bordelais quartet debuts its first album, A Run on Thin Ice, in time for the turning of the leaves. Comprised of eight tracks, the record’s brooding songwriting is ripe with controlled melancholy, making the band a prime candidate to compose the soundtrack of a modern adaptation of The Bell Jar for the Ozempic generation.
A Run on Thin Ice is available via Bandcamp in two vinyl variations and on all streaming outlets. Follow Suif on Instagram for all updates and tour dates.
