San Diego alt-rock trio SUNBENDR have released their new single “Crime Wave,” a chaotic and anthemic track that blends groove-heavy rhythms with distorted guitar layers and singalong-ready hooks.
Described by the band as a house party anthem, the song moves between psychedelic textures and explosive choruses. Vocalist and bassist Chris Coté says the track has long been a crowd favorite at their shows and now marks its official debut.
“Crime Wave” was produced by George Perks and recorded at Tom DeLonge’s home studio, with drums tracked at Chris Prescott’s Belly of the Whale Studio. The production emphasizes the band’s dynamic shifts and layered instrumentation.

The track showcases the chemistry between Coté, drummer Frank Dixon, and guitarist Brandon Parkhurst, capturing the energy that has defined their presence in the Southern California scene.
“Crime Wave” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
