The Berries are releasing a record on September 20 titled Berryland, released through Run For Cover Records. The Sophomore record has the track “Passing Scene,” a plea for better communication in relationships, and The Berries have released a video for the track.
The video is a hazy, almost super eight film reel of Matt Berry, frontman, playing the song in a secluded garden. The honesty of this song partnered with a relaxed and straightforward video make for minimalist heaven. With its almost yeehaw sound, it feels like a B-side from a country record from the 70s. It’s unique accessibility and genre-hopping give the song the ability to reach multiple audiences.
The Berries will also be going on tour this upcoming season starting in September with JEFF The Brotherhood. The tour will begin in Seattle and end in Portland. Berryland is up for preorder through the RFC website, and the single is available to stream on all platforms.
