Thick Business Streams ‘Blowin’ Through the B-Sides’

Thick Business band 2016

Thick Business have released the stream of Blowin’ Through the B-Sides, which is available as a “Name Your Price” download through Bandcamp .

Thick Business became a band spring of 2014 in Boise, Idaho. The band has been writing, recording, and touring since then. Thick has released a thirty minute live music video titled “Live Dog Garbage,” which can be seen below the album stream and is also available as “Name Your Price download through Bandcamp.

‘Blowin’ Through the B-sides’ is an irreverent love letter to fun, sex, and heavy vibes.

It features balladeers, screaming tweens, strippers, mothers, and chorus pedals.

Don’t be fooled by the nonchalance of it’s title; it is not for the faint of heart. Their debut EP sounds like an introspective dance party for trippy-sad-sacks and party-goers alike.

This release is the primordial teaser trailer for much more coming from Thick Business. Stay tuned.

Thick Business have been the supporting act for groups such as Of Montreal, The Entrance Band, Yonaton Gat, Radiation City, Stardeth and White Dwarfs, Magic Sword, and Deerhoof, and were featured with Naytronix and Thundercat during Treefort Music Fest 2016.

The band has also collaborated with Boise choreographer Daniel Ojeda for Ballet Idaho to create a thirty minute ballet inspired by and conceptualized around three of Thick Business’s tracks, Super Heavy Mom Vibes, On the Wire, and Shake That (Mood). It was based around the idea that, in 1975, a group of friends finds out they have thirty minutes to live. The band played live accompaniment for the dancers with added local string players (arrangements by Jeremy Stewart) for five sold out performances and was very well received. Thick Business and Ballet Idaho performed the piece again opening night of Treefort Music Fest 2016.
