Happy Friday, rockers! I’ve been absent most of the week while I battle a flu or a cold or possibly a curse from an angry witch, but regardless I’m back on my feet again and I’m ready to introduce you to Adjure. Adjure is a black metal and dungeon synth act out of Los Angeles, California. They’ve got a new album coming out on May 31 called Live Like You Know You’re Going to Die and the first single “What Do the Dead Know?” is streaming now on their Bandcamp.
“What Do the Dead Know?” manages to seamlessly fuse the atmospheric nature of darkwave with the intensity of black metal to create an epic track that’s full of foreboding energy and devastating heaviness. On the one hand, it almost sounds like barely organized chaos, but if you listen closely you can hear all of the technical skill that goes into a track like this. Check out the track below.
