Blake Williams is a pop-punk/emo solo artist out of Sydney, Australia. She just released her latest single called “Renegade,” and you can check it out now on Soundcloud.
“Renegade” is a classic pop punk tune with notes of Skiba-era Blink-182 and early Saves the Day ringing out in the big, bright, gorgeous pop-punk hooks. Lyrically it’s sad girl emo at its finest as the song delves into feelings of depression and a striving to come out of the darkness into the light. It doesn’t shy away from the darker sides of depression and really presents a cathartic emotional landscape to pull you out of the depths of depression with bright and shiny pop.
