Emerald Radio are a pop-punk band out of the U.K. Their debut EP Outdated Slang drops tomorrow, and the video for the single “Crystal Girls and Country Boys” off the new EP is streaming now on YouTube.
“Crystal Girls and Country Boys” is a classic pop punk tune, with keyboard and guitars working together in harmony to create some truly sick pop hooks. The melodies, especially the vocal melodies, are gorgeous and ring of classic emo catharsis. The lyrics depict a relationship that’s emotionally abusive, which is depicted in the video as the band members depict a deeply troubled and unhealthy relationship. Check out the video below.
