Happy Friday, rockers! Emily Rose & The Rounders are a traditional country act from Los Angeles, California. They recently put out a new video for their single “Too Much Too.”
“Too Much Too” is the perfect embodiment of the old, great, sad country tracks of yesteryear. Focusing on a slow, wistful rhythm, it evokes a sense of nostalgia that only a good ol’ fashioned country tune can evoke. The video utilizes home movie-style footage to evoke that same sense of nostalgia, creating a sorrowful story of love lost.
“The new song is actually a kind of old song that we’ve been playing for a while now,” explains Rose. “It’s about expectations not being met, wondering if you’re as good as someone thought you would be. Chris Slater, who also did our video for ‘Wildfire’ a few years ago took the song and ran with it, taking the themes into the world of Paris, TX and putting us right smack in the middle of the forlorn landscape of the classic film.”
