Welcome to the working week, rockers! Today we’re checking out flor, an alt-pop band out of Oregon. They’ve got a new single out called “Kick It” and the visualizer for the song is streaming on YouTube right now.
“Kick It” is an infectiously catchy pop tune carried by its fuzzed out guitars that make the song bouncy and rocking at the same time. The band said that the song is influenced by the movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and you can see that it has a sense of fun that reflects the joy of a superhero movie. The visualizer is fascinating too, taking images of soccer playing on what appears to be black and white film, creating a retro feel that contrasts with the song nicely.
