Happiest of Fridays, rockers! Fog Lamp is a synth punk band from Oakland, California. At the end of 2023 they put out a new album called Anxious Stargazing, which is available on their Bandcamp, and last month they put out a new video for the album’s opening track “You Prove Yourself Wrong” that’s currently streaming on YouTube.

Discordant and harsh yet oddly hooky, the song is a driving, powerful anthem. The video sees the band playing the song, bathed in a pinkish, purpleish light as the vibe gets, at times, trippy and psychedelic. It’s one hell of a fun song for anyone who appreciates synth punk.
