Hard Lessons are a metallic hardcore band out of Aalborg, Denmark. They recently released a new single called “Bury These Streets” with an accompanying video that’s streaming now on YouTube. The single is their first off of the upcoming EP This Ain’t No Game, which is due out later this year.
“Bury These Streets” has a punishing hardcore energy that’s accentuated by the harsh playing style and even harsher vocals that are characteristic of metallic hardcore. What’s especially interesting is how the extreme vocals still can show a dynamic range, as the vocalist switches freely back and forth between a high-pitched screech and a low, guttural growl. The DIY video simply depicts the band playing the song together in a studio, but it captures the great chemistry that makes the band succeed so well. Check out the video below.
