Welcome to the working week, rockers! Oak, Ash & Thorn is a melodic death metal band from Denver, Colorado. They have a new album coming out on Friday called Our Grief is Thus and the video for the single “Dying Culture” is now streaming on YouTube.
“Dying Culture” is a song full of extreme power, but manages to pair that with soaring and, at times, delicate melodies, even featuring a violin that sounds absolutely captivating in the quiet spaces between the blistering blast beats and pummelling guitars. The video presents images of death and decay in stark black and white footage to create a visual experience that’s just as unforgiving as the song itself. Check out the video below.
