Welcome to the working week, rockers! Let’s kick off the week with something fun. Parallel States are a pop-punk trio from Nottingham, U.K. influenced by American punk in the ’90s. Back in March, they put out a new single called “Keith Nash” and an accompanying music video that’s currently streaming on YouTube.
“Keith Nash” is a classic pop-punk style song that brings to mind Scott Raynor-era Blink-182. With a breakneck pace, gorgeous melody, and irresistible hooks, this is like a flashback to the height of ’90s era pop-punk and skate punk style. The DIY video is very Blink-esque as well, as it depicts the band members investigating an abandoned building only to encounter and later befriend an extraterrestrial living in the basement.
