Welcome to the working week, rockers! Sugar Horse are a sludgy doomgaze quartet out of Bristol, UK. We previously featured them last December, but they’ve got a new album coming out on October 4 on Pelagic Records called The Grand Scheme of Things and they’ve released a handful of singles and videos, including their latest video for the song “Office Job Simulator,” which is streaming right now on YouTube.
On “Office Job Simulator,” Sugar Horse create an unyielding and brutal wall of sound that almost never lets up, except for one brief yet ethereal interlude in the middle that seems to create a sense of hope amidst the doom and chaos, before returning to bring the noise. The harsh vocals perfectly match the thunderous, cacophonous noise in this track. The trippy video sees the band performing the song in a barrage of colors, lights, and shadows, creating a perfect visual representation of this heavy track.
