Temple of Love are a goth rock band from Austin, Texas. They recently released their debut single “Bury Me Standing” and the video for it is streaming now on YouTube.
“Bury Me Standing” has the dark moodiness of goth, but unlike most goth bands, they aren’t very light on the guitars. Instead, the song is full of big, powerful, classic-rock-style guitars with dizzying, bluesy guitar solos. It definitely puts the “rock” in “goth rock.” The psychedelic music video brings out a sense of adventure on the open road.
“The song is an ode to those living on the fringes of society, such as touring bands, artists, and poets,” says vocalist Suzy Bravo. “The songs is about the freedom of making choices (whether good and bad), the ultimate freedom of living true to your own fundamental principles for the sake of your art.”
