Today’s New Noise: The Fever Haze

The Fever Haze

The Fever Haze are a shoegaze band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They’ve got a new album coming out March 29 on Graveface Records called Moonbow, and the first two singles off of the album are streaming on Bandcamp with the video for one of those singles streaming on YouTube.

The song “I Love It Here” starts out with a very grungy edge that sounds like it was pulled straight out of the early ’90s. It then develops a post punk sort of dreaminess as the vocals come in. It’s a dark and trippy song, which is perfectly complimented by the video, which is basically a visual collage of images and effects. Check out the video below.

The other single is “(I’ll Always Leave a Part of My Heart In) Colorado,” and it has that same sort of post punk dreaminess but with an almost swirling post rock energy. Check out the track below.

You can preorder Moonbow from the Graveface Bandcamp. Follow The Fever Haze on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for future updates.
