The Hill is Burning is a metal band from Réunion in France. They recently released their sophomore album From Alpha to Omega from Monstre Sonore Records and they released a video for the song “The Dreamer” off the album which is now available on YouTube.
“The Dreamer” is a thunderous metal track characterized by haunting melodies over a solid riff groove. The vocals towards the end of the song, in particular, approach something resembling a group chant as the guitars pound away at big, chunky power chords. Meanwhile, the video depicts a young girl finding a pair of headphones in the woods and being magically transported across space with the power of music. The video’s cinematic scope perfectly matches the epic tone of the song, creating a powerful video over sweeping landscapes. Check out the video below.
