The Usual Boys are an indie rock band from Berlin, Germany. They’re getting ready for the upcoming release of their debut album Failing to Be and just released the fifth single off the album called “Migraine.” The video for the new track is currently streaming on YouTube.
“Migraine” is a quirky track with a lot of nervous energy and a clever, tongue-in-cheek irony that gives the song a hip quality. It’s got hooky, jangly guitars that compliment the geek-chic vocal performance. The deceptively simple music video sees the band rocking out the song in an orange room, but the immediacy of seeing them live adds to that nervous energy in the song itself. Frontman Aleksi Oksanen puts on a dynamic performance in the video that makes the song more engaging. It’s a hell of a fun song from start to finish and, at only a little over two-minutes in length, you’re likely to want to hit replay as soon as it’s over. Check out the video below.
