Fresh-faced indie-garage-rockers The Dumes have just announced a new song called “Neverlost,” a bright and poppy cascade of early ’00s rock and alternative country that we are delighted to premiere for you today. Check out the stream below.

“Neverlost” was recorded by Grammy-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (The Strokes, Cherry Glazerr, The Killers) at the legendary Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood, CA. Speaking on the importance of the track to them, the band had the following to say: “Perhaps more than any of our recent material, this track feels like it’s bottled the anxious energy in the air throughout the writing and recording process. That kind of thing can only be contained for so long!”

If you are missing live music and over-paying for drinks at the bar, The Dumes feel your pain. That’s why they’ve organized a special, live performance that they will be streaming via Headliner on October 1. As the band explains “Everything is horrible, and we haven’t even been able to escape by playing a show! We’re ready to see the biggest circle pit your living room has ever seen!”

It’s really up to you whether or not you want to mosh in your living room, tbh. I don’t wasn’t even doing it at shows anymore (when we still had those), but we’ll be getting a new couch in the mail next month, so I might consider dusting off my Doc Martens for this one.

The Dumes’ livestream performance will take place on October 1 at 9 p.m. EST / 6 p.m. PST. Ticket information can be found here.
