Hailing from L.A., Analog Party just dropped a brand new track, “Sunspots,” from their forthcoming EP, Model Youth.
“This is probably the centerpiece of our whole EP,” the band explain. “Although it doesn’t necessarily represent the high-energy, more rocking side of the band, it does take the listener to a pretty dark and emotionally raw place, a place that I hadn’t allowed myself to delve into as a songwriter until now. I think as a band it shows a level of musical depth and atmosphere beyond some of our other material, and in that regard, I think it is our most powerful and poignant song to date. Lyrically, it explores some darker personal subject matter reflecting on my past, present, and future, and the juxtaposition between moments of clarity and feelings of exhaustion, isolation, and depression.”
Check out their Bandcamp for more info and to preorder the record, and if you’re in L.A., catch their EP release show on April 19 at The Redwood Bar.
