With a new EP in the pipeline, Los Angeles post-punks, Black Market Heart, release “Dark Days” as their first single of the year. Keeping in line with distancing protocols during production, the band once again reduces itself to a one-person unit for this release with mastermind Spencer Robinson (Lords of Altamont, Spencer Robinson & The Wolf Spiders) working all instruments and production for this single.

Robinson explains the song’s atmosphere and dark composition reflect the atmosphere one endures during extensive separation from a significant person in their lives. “Dark Days” is the follow-up to the band’s Fall 2020 single “Anything” and future Los Angeles area performances continuing when a majority of the vaccines are administered citywide, and masks stay on.
