Check out MDRN HSTRY’s new record TV Talk, out January 23. It’s a powerful look at modern life as seen by a band in a van.
“TV Talk represents a dark and wild ride through Southern California surf,” the band says.
With a sound combining the post punk revival musicality of The Strokes, the urgent energy of The Misfits, and the retro wave groove of fellow Southern Californians, The Growlers, TV Talk provides a visual of the band’s entire gamut of influences. Tracks such as album opener “Hill” find the band reflecting on the emotional unpredictability they shared together on a recent social retreat.
The album release party, which will be hosted at projected-to-sellout Music Box on January 23, will see the band showcasing their debut album for the first time in its entirety With a follow up tour scheduled for spring of 2020, the band intend to release a supporting music video for each track of the album.
