NYC punk band Moral Panic are sharing their new track, “White Knuckles,” and you can listen right here at New Noise.
Initially from the West Coast, Daniel Kelley founded Moral Panic after moving to New York. He grew up going to punk shows in L.A. and Orange County, so after getting settled in the new city, he connected with New Bomb Turks frontman Eric Davidson and joined his brand new band, Livids, as a guitarist. The project soon ended, and Kelley formed the new band, taking over vocals along with guitar.
The new track, “White Knuckles,” was recorded by Joe Hogan (Ronnie Spector, Murphy’s Law) at Six Feet Under Studios, mastered by Matt Rocker and mixed by Adam Tucker. The record will be released on Robel’s own label, Robellion Music, and will feature four different hand-sprayed cover designs, which combine to form a single piece of artwork when joined together.Mo
Kelley talks a bit more about the band and how they show up in the scene:
“I think Moral Panic has always had a hard time fitting in. We are generally too rock ‘n’ roll for the punks and too punk for the rock ‘sn’ rollers! In my opinion we are a punk band, plain and simple.”
