Swedish heavy-rockers Wytch are ready to unveil the latest track from their forthcoming album, Exordium, available May 21 through Ripple Music.
New Noise are proud to premiere “The Saviour” below:
Originally started under the name Aska, Wytch took form in the spring of 2016 in Skellefteå, Sweden. The band’s members come from diverse musical backgrounds, including renowned Swedish bands such as Otyg, The Spacious Mind, TME, Vintersorg, and Stardog.
In 2017, the band released a four-track EP as Aska, before changing their name to Wytch and signing to Ripple Music in October 2020.
Darkness-bound, and catchy as psych can be, their debut album Exordium hits the bullseye from start to finish, with heavy and commanding riffs, razor-sharp rhythms, and Johanna Lundberg’s sultry and fiery vocals enveloping the record like a fireball.
Exordium was recorded and produced by Niklas Viklund at Silverhäxan Studios in Skellefteå, and mastered by Ronnie Björnström at The Mixroom, Sundsvall in Sweden. The album’s eye-catching artwork was designed by Wytch vocalist Johanna Lundberg.
