We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Unreal City’s new music video for their song “Pure” (watch it below). The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming Oath 7″, which is scheduled to be released on July 14th through Head2Wall Records. You can pre-order the 7″ here.
The band comments on the upcoming release:
“‘Oath’ simply put, is our recovery statement. We have been harboring ideas for sometime, and were finally able to capture them correctly at the Mars recording compound in Ohio. Left to our own devices, we’ve managed to create the record we set out to make.
We have always done our own thing as a band and as people. I wanted to use the video to show a bit more about us and our influences. Incidentally, the video pays homage to people and concepts potentially realized upon repeated viewing.”
It would be easy, and not inaccurate, to describe Unreal City simply as “a heavy hardcore band featuring current and former members of Eternal Sleep, Integrity, Kim Phuc and more.” But such a hasty statement does this band an incredible disservice. Although clearly still of the realm of their previous work, this is a band that has no intention of resting on the laurels of their associated acts list. By incorporating subtle melodic elements and classic metal solos, they have crafted a record that has such an incredible depth and scope, that it’s almost impossible to reconcile the experience with the runtime.
