Video Premiere: I The Victor – “Tea”

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of I The Victor’s music video for her song “Tea” (watch it below). The track is taken from her Jackal EP, which is available for purchase/streaming here.

I The Victor commented on the video:

There was always an oddly prevalent Alice theme during the recording and production process for ‘Tea,’ with the ticking clock in the track and the concept of tea at a base level.

This video brings that landscape to life a bit and marries it with the darker elements in the song where I struggle with assuming others perception of me and comparing myself to my peers. I love Alice and that world of nonsense vs a pursuit for truth and I feel like there are parallels there with ‘Tea’ lyrically and now visually.

I wanted a narrative for this video that was loose enough to be interpreted but still took care to show how a change in your perspective can make for a clearer understanding of the truth, instead of looking at things inherently through a lens of doubt or cynicism.
