Austin, Texas-based singer-songwriter 1st Base Runner is releasing his new video for “Man Overboard,” from his sophomore EP, Ellis.
1st Base Runner is the immersive project from Tim Husmann, drawing on shoegaze, alternative, and dreampop to create powerful songs full of raw emotion and wisdom. He expands his atmospheric, personal sound on the new EP, collaborating with longtime friend Bryan Ellis for a markedly more lively release. 1st Base Runner also has another full-length record on the rocket, expanding upon the sounds of Ellis and adding a dose of post-punk edge.
The underwater-filmed video for “Man Overboard” was directed by Heather Gildroy under the guidance of longtime Radiohead Creative Director Dilly Gent. The synth-filled instrumental and eerie is appropriate for the aquatic-centered video, moving in slow motion and cascading from one scene to the next, with 1st Base Runner front and center throughout.
