Video Premiere: BLiND DRiVE – ‘Mirrors’

BLiND DRiVE

Boston emo/punk band BLiND DRiVE are releasing the video for their new song “Mirrors,” specifically touching on the struggles of mania and bipolar 1.

They went DIY for their last music video, “Nowhere Near,” and the band wanted another music video embracing that same vibe, just a bit more planned out. Drummer Tim Slizz and photographer Sof took initiative to write out he ideas for the shots, with some scenes being shot in a Brighton house where most of the band lives, and others shot in downtown Boston (featuring a short cameo from roommate, Kyle).

Slizz acted as the director for the day, though he had sprained his ankle, and with a show coming up that weekend, the band took turns pushing him around in a push cart to prevent him from further injury. Slizz and Sof also edited the video.

Slizz chats more about the video: “The ‘Mirrors’ music video was an ambitious project for us. We were proud of the video we made for our song ‘Nowhere Near,’ but we knew that this time we had to step it up! We always strive to push ourselves in the content we release and surpass people’s expectations of what we can accomplish and we hope that it keeps people coming back for more!”
